THE TRUTH ABOUT HONEY

DSC09211.jpg

THE PROBLEM

Texans consume 40 million pounds of honey per year in Texas - Texas beekeepers only produce 7-8 million pounds per year.

Name brands that you see on the shelf purchase cheap and/or imported honey, and may blend in 10% Texas honey to market as Local, Raw, Texas honey.

The USDA or FDA do not define common terms used on honey product labels. ANY honey in Texas can be labeled: local, raw, pure, unfiltered, or Texas honey, no matter the source.

THE SOLUTION

In a market saturated with dishonest, fraudulent honey, we have made it our goal and passion to provide an honest, local product.

We’re BEEKEEPERS FIRST.

REAL TEXAS HONEY

Real Texas Honey is a program that was introduced by the Texas Beekeepers Association in 2016. This program verifies that its members are producing and selling 100% real Texas honey from their own bees or another Real Texas Honey member.

Moore Honey Farm is a proud member and supporter of this program. By looking for the silver Real Texas Honey seal, you can have confidence you are purchasing Real Texas Honey.

FARM TOURS

Annually, we host an event during our honey harvest for the public to come see our operation first hand. We do this to provide education and transparency for what a

real beekeeping operation looks like.
